HISTORY OF WEST INDIES CRICKET TEAM

West Indies cricket team began in 1880.When they first formed cricket team and toured to Canada and United States of America in 1890. First representation were selected to play with visiting English team by the Organization of West Indies Cricket Board9WICB).Confederation of  English speaking represented by West Indies team to the Caribbean countries.

            Sports international ruling body, the Imperial Cricket Council jointed by the   WICB in 1926.and played their first official match which is known as Test cricket ion 1928. Although based with some great players in their early  days as a Test nation , Their achievement  remained sporadic until 1960by the side changed from white  dominated  to black dominated  side. from 1970 to 1980 the team widely expressed out as a best Test cricket in the history. West Indies team formed for their four man fast bowling and remainder  the best batsmen in the world .The show a set of player which consecutive Test  victories in 1984.  As a result which was part of a still standing record  of 27 Tests without defeat as well as inflicting two 5-0 “Black washes “ against their old enemy  of England.. Now a days the team struggling to regain its past glory.

            In the early days of 1930 West Indies Federation represented the British colonies plus British Guyana .The current side represents now independent states of  Antigua and Barbuda, Barbados, Dominica, Grenada, Guyana, Jamaica, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines and Trinidad and Tobago, and the British dependencies of
Anguilla ,  Montserrat and the British Virgin Island along with the US virgin Island which are separate countries .Locally they achieved their Identities and support by their local favourites . West Indian fdirst class competition the national team took part the Stanford  20/20, the Carib Beer cup.

            West Indies  played a major international cricket between local often predominantly white, sides and English tourists. In 1894-95 . After two years Arthur Priestley took the team to Trinidad,  Barbados and Jamaica which are first time match against side styled  “all west Indies” there West Indies won. Hampshire wicket keeper Richard  Bennett’s  sent 11 to the west Indies and played three games against West Indies , there Hosts won 2-0 in 1901-02. In 1904-05 Caribbean  won both the game against West Indies.

West Indies team toured to Australia in 1930-31 . There played 19 Test in the year and four series against England and against Australia West Indies  first ever test victory being  recorded on 26   February 1930.
