HISTORY OF SOUTH AFRICA CRICKET

In 1947 The south Africa  Cricket team toured to England. Alan Melville was the Captain  and  Dave Nourse was the vice captain achieved a test match record fro9 third wicket partnership of 319 at Nottingham. In South Africa  next year Nourse , 38 years old captain of Natal was appointed Captain for the 1948 MCC ..

            In 1970 from the International  Cricket the ICC voted to suspend South Africa indefinitely  because of its Government policy of Apartheid an overtly racist policy , which advised to play only against white nation ( England, Australia &New Zealand).field only white players. Graeme Pollock, Barry Richards were excluded from the decision from partaking  in International Test Cricket . Behind the cause of it emigration of future  stars like Allan Lamb and Robin Smith both player for england and Kepler Wessels, initially played for Australia, then returned to South Africa .

            South Africa reinstated as a  test nation in 1991 by the ICC after the deconstruction of apartheid, 1991 the played first sanction match One day international against India in Calcutta  on 10^th November .After readmission South Africa played first test match against West Indies  in Bridgetown in April 1992. The result South ASfrica lost by 52 runs.

            South Africa has achieved missed success from the reinstated  and hosted the Intewrnational Cricket Council , Cricket World Cup in 2003

            Allan Donald, Shaun Pollock, Gray Kirsten and Hansie Cronje grossly reaching the sami final of the World Cup Cricket ,  three times but failure achieving final of the World Cup. South Africa had the highest winning percentage in ODIs of any team in  the super six matches in 1990. when  Herschelle  Gibbs dropped Australian Captain Steve Waugh , they were knocked out of the World Cup Cricket 1996in the quarter final  they were eliminated  on count back from the semi final against Australia in 1999. In 2003 South Africa was top most favorite team ,  they needed one run but mistakenly they counted the number so they lost.

            After Donald retiring Cronje banned fixing the match. And later dead in a plane crash , Pollock also retiring from the International Cricket , the team had a change shape , Graeme Smith is the running Captain, due to injuries of captain Jacques Kallis , Ashwell Prince deput as test Captain on 12 July 2006.He was 29 years age and he the first non white man to captain to all white South African  Cricket
