HISTORY OF BERMUDA CRICKET TEAM





Bermuda played first cricket match on 30 August 1844. With the support of Local People and British troops Cricket Club formed in Bermuda in 1845.In the late 19th century Bermuda played some international match against USA originally Philadelphia. After the First World War greatly diminished the cricket strength of this island. 



Bermuda regained Popularity in Cricket after the Second World War. On the way to West Indies many team toured in Bermuda including Test match. The first tourist team was England in 1960 and followed many team. For Yorkshire Country Cricket Club played first time by Non Yorkshire men. There was traditionally rule in Yorkshire that any one of out side the country could not play for their team. The rule omitted in 1990. Garry Sobers allow to play some games under the captain of Brian Close in Bermuda during the festival match.

Bermuda achieved Associated Membership of the ICC. Bermuda played a match against New Zealand in 1972 that match was first class status. Bermuda stated to compete in International competitions and also ICC Trophy.

Bermuda played ICC Intercontinental Cup in 2004 and 2005, The USA and Canada were their group. In 2004 after defeated by Canada and drawn against USA they were knocked out from the first competition. In 2005 they beat Canada and Cayman Island in Canada won the American group and lost against Kenya in the semi final.

The memorable cricketing moment of Bermuda was 7July 2005 because they qualified for semi final of ICC Trophy 2005. Cricket World Cup 2007 they won the place of West Indies from 1 January to ICC World Cup 2009 qualifier. Then they gained One day International official status.


Bermuda played first international tournament in 2006, they lost every game of the five matches in UAE. The World Cricket Classic Twenty 20 tournament hosted in Bermuda and they also participated. In May 2006 they played their first ODI and beating Canada they achieved their first outing successful at the Queen’s Park Oval. The win ODI list they secured fourth team after Australia, New Zealand and Zimbabwe.Inm the second ODI they lost to Zimbabwe by 194 runs.

In the Twenty 20 knock-out tournament in 2006 they took part but defeated by Jamaika. Next Month four day ICC Intercontinental Cup and two ODIs Bermuda toured in Canada. In Intercontinental Cup they lost but both ODIs they won.

The ICC American Championship Bermuda took part in Division One and with out lost they won the tournament. Bermuda toured in Kenya for three ODIs and an Intercontinental Cup match. The result of Intercontinental Cup match was draw and all the ODIs lost. Then they visited to South Africafor an Intercontinental Cup  against Netherlands. The  match was draw but a glorious record of Batsman David Hemp who scored 247 not out by an innings.




Bermuda played against England on 5 March 2007 in St Vincent. England took 286/8 by 50 over. They lost all the wicket by 22.2 over within 45 runs. Bermuda marked with heavy defeated in first appearance in the World Cup in 2007.They played final game against Bangladesh due to rain 21 over played decided where Bermuda scored 94/9 but Bangladesh reached 96 b y 17.3 over .

In the Intercontinental Cup 2007-08 they lost to Ireland and Netherlands and also ODI series against Netherlands. ICC World Cup 2009 Qualifying matches they participated but their place was 9th. They lost in ICC Intercontinental Shield 2009-10. and finished last in 2011 Division Two.

HISTORY OF FIJI CRICKET TEAM





The Fijians first introduced with the game cricket in 1874, and they began to lifted up the cricket by their own population in 1878. To introduced with the cricket among the Fijians time listed by the Governor of his tenure.



After introduced the  Fiji was playing 21 years as first class cricket then in 1895 they toured in  New Zealand. The captain was John Udal. The tour was two day match against Auckland, Fiji was defeated by an innings. First match was washed out due to rain and second match drawn. They also lost third match against Canterbury by an innings.

The Fijians much improved final two matches of the tour  for a century of John Collins they won against Hawke’s Bay by an innings and defeated Taranaki by two wickets.

Fiji toured in Australia in January 1908.From that tour one match draw against Queensland from a two days match. In their home land they played 26 match against university and District side between 11 December 1907 to 30 March 1908.

In 1948 and 1954 Fiji again toured in New Zealand twice. West Indies visited in Fiji in 1956 to played a test match, Fiji won the match by 28 runs.

Fiji toured to Auckland in 1948 and defeated by them by 168 runs. Their next match they won against Wellington by one wicket. In the same tour they also defeated by Otago for 46 runs. At end they won against Auckland by 115 runs IL Bula was the famous player of Fiji who achieved the most runs of the tour.



Fiji toured in New Zealand in 1954 and played just four matches, they lost in Starting match against Otago. They defeated to Canterbury of the next match by two wickets. Only they won the ended match against Auckland by seven wickets.


In 1965 Fiji achieved the associate membership of ICC. In 1979 they participated first time in the ICC Trophy Tournaments and continued played in every one until 2001. In the ACC trophy they played first in 1996, and lost against USA in the semi final.

First Pacifica Cup Fiji took part in 2001in Auckland and they arrived in the final , there Fiji lost against New Zealand by three wickets. South Pacific Games organized by Fiji but in the final hosts defeat to Papua New Guinea. In the ICC Trophy of 2005 they arrived in the final in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia but they lost against Papua New Guinea by 30 runs.

ICC EAP Cricket Trophy 2006 played by Fiji in Brisbane, Australia. They won all the match of the tournament against Cook Islands and Japan. They qualified for World cricket league Division three in Darwin, Australia



Fiji participated in South Pacific games cricket tournament 2007 but defeated by Papua new Guinea group game in the final.

They participated in the World Cricket League Division Five of 2010 in Nepal. They ended the six and last. They could not win a single match of the tournament.

HISTORY OF INDIAN CRICKET TEAM





India began to organize cricket  in Kolkata the major city  of Bengal in 1780.English banded  and  expatriates   together to form the Kolkata cricket .The Hickys Bengal  Gazette earliest  published of this club  is found in the 48th issue , dated 16 to 23 December  1780.The report of the newspaper was the gentleman of the Kolkate  cricket club are getting themselves into wind and preparing to take the field for a very active Campaign. with its tentative years of the birth t 1780.Merylebone cricket club established in 1787 by  clear deference of 7 years . The MCC based on London  few years age but the parent body of cricket still hold an eminent position in the world of cricket .



A Cricket match played Dum Dum in the district of Barrack pore by Englishmen residing .This match was likelihood played on the maidan opposite the Raj Bhaban. The assumption is based on the reason that a scorecard of another match played in January 1804, survives t convey to us the team representing old Estonians and Kolkata cricket.. Pakistan and the republic of India was held first test match in Janury 1955.The match began first day of the year.The Dhaka had the full capacity of accomodation 15,000 sdpectators.

In 1971 coming one day international cricket India created a new  volume  of cricket in the cricket world. India was not comparatively strong in ODIs at that moment and Captain Sunil Gavaskar knew their performance so he approached to defence based bartting. India was a weak team so they did not qualified for the second round in the World Cup Cricket. India lost in the first world Cup Cricket against England in 1975 wher Gavaskar was not out 36 from 174 balls.

India played a test match against West Indies at port of Spain and won for Vishwanath who scored 112 in 1976. The teama build another record  against New Zealand score  524 for 9 at kanpur, the individual highest score was 70 by Mohinder Amarnath.Indian cricket team began to developed from 1980and they won the World Cup Cricket in 1983 against West Indies in the final. India won Asia Cup in 1984 and World Champiuonship of Cricket India won against Australia in 1985.They achieved the test victory against England in 1986. Sachin Tendulkar and Anil Kumble  were added in the national team in 1989. Indian team began to improved  from 1990



John Wright appionted as Indian cricket coach in 2000 and team under want to major improvements. They defeated Australia in the Test series in 2001 Sourav Ganguly was the captain of the series. ICC championship Trophy India jointe in winner list. India participated in World Cup Cricket 2003 in South Africa there they reached in final but lost to Australia. India defeated against Australia in the home test series and against Pakistan also defeated in home ODI series in 2004.

HISTORY OF FRANCE CRIC KET TEAM





France is the  origin of Cricket, it is the some bodies theory, some body  tell the birthplace of cricket is France. “Criquet “means a game by  a ball and a bat. The game first played in a village of the Pas-de-Calais in France in 1478, and the word “Criquet” was old French word which means “post” or “Wicket”. It is remember that during 100 years War from 14th to 15th century under the English occupations of France cricket had been introduced by English occupiers.



Robert Walpole the British Prime Minister his son Horace Walpole seen the cricket in 1766 in Paris. In 1789 Marylebone Cricket Club produced the first international cricket tour of France, but unluckily French revulsion cancelled the tour and that match was played in 1989, it was the bicentennial celebrations of the revolution. The result was France defeated MCC by seven wicket.

The first documentary match conducted between Paris Cricket club and Warwickshire Knickerbockers in Bois de Boulogne  in 1864. The next year Paris Cricket Club published the narrative of the game in a book.


France took place in the Olympic Games for only one cricket game in 1900, but they lost the match. The French team consisted by British citizen in paris.

France participated in an exhibition tournament in Brussels, the MCC, the Netherlands and Belgium also participated in the tournament. There France played one match against Netherlands and won 63 runs. 



After the Second World War many cricket Club were formed. In the early 1980 led to a rebuilding of the game by an influx of English and Asian immigrants. The French Cricket Association was built in 1987, and same year they achieved the Affiliate Membership of the ICC.

English team toured in France in 1989, the national team lost to English team. In 1996 France toured in Australia but there also lost against Australian national team. They participated in European Nation Cup in Zuoz, Switzerland. The France won the match by one run against Germany in the final. That match is one of the best of 100 matches of 20th century

In the ICC Trophy in 2001 France took part in Canada but they unable to progress in the first round. Next year they secured fifth position of European championship Division two and 2004 tournament was runner up. They secured sixth in 2006 tournament.



European championship 2008 Division two France secured in fourth place. They also placed in third in  the same competition  but unluckily non qualified if the ICC 2010 World Cricket league Division eight. European World Cricket League qualified 2012 they finished 2nd.

HISTORY OF ZAMBIA CRICKET NEW





The Zambia introduced with cricket by neighboring Zimbabwe  in the early of 19th century. With the relatively low compared of British settlers to Zimbabwe. Cricket developed slowly in Zambia.



Development of cricket was very slow, the MCC toured in Livingstone by December 1930, South Africa defeated Northern Rhodesia by 9 wickets in the tour of their first international. Northern Rhodesia was undisputed with cricket between Zimbabwe. Though Northern players was rare in the cricket team.

After the Second World War cricket became more formal of the Northern Rhodesia cricket union and annual match series began from 1948 between Northern Rhodesia and Southern Rhodesia (Zimbabwe). The series continued until 1954. Southern Rhodesia were more strong  to make any decent contest. During the period Northern won only once, another one draw and five lost to South.




Federation of Rhodesia by the formation cricket became  fully undisputed with Southern Rhodesia but investment was mainly focus on Harare and Bulawayo. The Newly organized team  courage to play international match against Australia in 1957 and the end toured in South Africa. Northern Rhodesia did not played further match  until 1962 but only two  first class matches played  at EK Park Kitwe, One match against International XI and another match against a Commonwealth XI.

The Independence gained by Zambia in 1964,  they formed their cricket union almost immediately and started to multi racial cricket. In 1968 East African regional tournaments Zambia started to participate with Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania. In September 1968 they played their first match against Kenya in Nairobi.
Their most successful period were 1970 for Zambian cricket history. The country started a favoured goal for English team. Gloucestershire visited in Zambia in 1971. Glamorgan toured in 1972ambia in 1974 and Warsidckshir toured in 1977. The government started to investment a few money for sports in early 1980 and athletics. A match conducted between the national team and the minor side of the country and that was the last march until 1990.As a part of the east African cricket team were played by Zambian Players.

In 1994 African Cricket Association Championship played by national team of Zambia. In 2002 Zambia participated  in the Africacup, there beating Namibia and Tanzania . Zambia Cricket Union achieved the associate membership of ICC from 2003.

In 2004 African Cricket Association championship hosted in Zambia. The tournament was the qualifying game of the ICC Trophy 2005, Zambia ended the third place of the tournaments. The ICC Trophy tournament was conducted in Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia on February 2005. Zambia was eight place of the tournament.



World Cricket league Africa region Division two Zambia secured fourth of the tournament in 2006. There defeated only Nigeria, they played much better in 2008 tournament. They secured third place. In 2010 they won the tournament.

HISTORY OF SCOTLAND CRICKET TEAM





The first record of cricket match in Scotland in the place of Alloa in 1785.  After 80 years in 1865 they played their first full match and won by 172 runs against Surrey.




In 1879 Scotland formed their cricket union. After three years their national played against Australia and won by 7wicket. The cricket union became to dead in 1883 then administration of the game taken over by Grange CC until 1909. Their first match placed in Dublin against Ireland. Before the World War they played against West Indies, New Zealand, South Africaand all Indian teams.

Scotland team visited Australia in 1948 for two game and both the games won by Australia which was the last international games of Don Bradman. After the tour they toured in England.

In 1980 Scotland first contend in English domestic cricket when they participated for their first time in the Benson & Hedges  Cup. After three years Scotland competed in Nat West Trophy. In 1986 they won the Benson  & Hedges against Lancashire.

Most probably England captain Mike Denness was the famous cricketer of Scotland . Australian vilified a infamous cricketer who was Scottish came back in national team .

In 1994 Scotland achieved the associate membership of ICC  for their own right . They participated in the ICC Trophy in 1997 for the first time,  they competed the third and they qualified for World Cup 1999. But Scotland lost all the games of World Cup. They finished the fourth of ICC Trophy 2001, lost a play off game to Canada, so they won the tournament of 2005  by beating Ireland in the final. Ryan Watson was the ODI run scorer of Scotland plays through backward point against India on 16 August 2007 at Glasgow’s Titwood ground.

Scotland took part in tri series tournament against Ireland and New Zealand in Aberdeen, Scotland defeated Ireland but lost to New Zealand. Scotland competed another five associate nation in ICC World Cup Twenty 20 2009 Qualifier in Belfast. They initially lost to Ireland  and won against Bermuda . Scotland appear in semi final slot. 



Scotland participated in the 2010 ICC World Twenty 20 in the UAE. They played with Ireland, Afghanistan, Kenya, Canada, Netherlands, the UAE and USA. They lost all the matches of the tournament.

Scotland participated in ICC Trophy in March 2009 to qualifier for the World Cup Cricket 2011. Their target was top four place. They achieve ODI status by finishing in the top six.

HISTORY OF IRELAND CRICKET TEAM



Early in the 19th century Ireland introduced in Cricket by English in Kilkenny and Ballinasloe towns. The cricket began to extend among many club within 30 years. In the 1855 Irish national team first played in Dublin against the English Gentlemen. The English man Charles Lawrence appointed as a coach and took the responsibilities to develop their cricket. With the professional touring team Ireland first visited in 1850  and played against Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC)



The Cricket achieved popularity between 1880 in Ireland. Spreading of cricket began set back by Gaelic Athletic Association due to land war. Cricket playing was banned in Irish and began popular in Hurling and Gaelic football. l Ireland visited top play in Canada, and USA in 1879, 1888, 1892 and 1909, the best performance of Irish was defeated South Africa in 1904. On 19 May 1902 they played their first class status of first match against London. Sir Tim O’Brien was the captain and convincingly won by 238 runs.

After England tour of Irish four match yielded won, two match draw and lost one match, There was a restriction on Irish to play first class cricket for five years. They played a first class match against Scotland in 1909. Ireland began to play annual match against MCC from 1924.

The Irish continued played first class match during the world war period only break until 1999, Ireland played a three day test match against West Indies in Dublin they won by 60 runs in 1928 and that was the first match against West Indies. Another match played in 1969 against West Indiajn side at Sion Mills in Country Tyrone and the result was lost to West Indians side. And that was the last touring lost  until 2003 in the same year they beat Zimbabwe by 10 wickets. Ireland became an Associate member of ICC in 1993, one year before of Scotland.


Ireland were permitted to participated in ICC Trophy in 1994 for the first, Ireland won three among seven game and finished the seventh place of the tournament. After three years they show their best effort by appear in the same final in Malaysia  but lost to Kenya by 7 runs. They lost the first match in Canada by six wicket and to Denmark also lost by 12 runs. 


In the ICC Trophy of 2005 hosted in Ireland , the final stage lost to  England .In 2004 ICC Intercontinental Cup on a regard basis Ireland got a chance for play first class, the competition divided into four division, while Netherlands defeated by Ireland and Ireland lost to the group match in 2004 against Scotland. Ireland played the ICC Intercontinental Cup in 2007 in the final against Canada ,there won by an innings and 115 runs.
