HISTORY OF ZAMBIA CRICKET NEW

The Zambia introduced with cricket by neighboring Zimbabwe  in the early of 19th century. With the relatively low compared of British settlers to Zimbabwe. Cricket developed slowly in Zambia.

Development of cricket was very slow, the MCC toured in Livingstone by December 1930, South Africa defeated Northern Rhodesia by 9 wickets in the tour of their first international. Northern Rhodesia was undisputed with cricket between Zimbabwe. Though Northern players was rare in the cricket team.

After the Second World War cricket became more formal of the Northern Rhodesia cricket union and annual match series began from 1948 between Northern Rhodesia and Southern Rhodesia (Zimbabwe). The series continued until 1954. Southern Rhodesia were more strong  to make any decent contest. During the period Northern won only once, another one draw and five lost to South.

Federation of Rhodesia by the formation cricket became  fully undisputed with Southern Rhodesia but investment was mainly focus on Harare and Bulawayo. The Newly organized team  courage to play international match against Australia in 1957 and the end toured in South Africa. Northern Rhodesia did not played further match  until 1962 but only two  first class matches played  at EK Park Kitwe, One match against International XI and another match against a Commonwealth XI.

The Independence gained by Zambia in 1964,  they formed their cricket union almost immediately and started to multi racial cricket. In 1968 East African regional tournaments Zambia started to participate with Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania. In September 1968 they played their first match against Kenya in Nairobi.

Their most successful period were 1970 for Zambian cricket history. The country started a favoured goal for English team. Gloucestershire visited in Zambia in 1971. Glamorgan toured in 1972ambia in 1974 and Warsidckshir toured in 1977. The government started to investment a few money for sports in early 1980 and athletics. A match conducted between the national team and the minor side of the country and that was the last march until 1990.As a part of the east African cricket team were played by Zambian Players.

In 1994 African Cricket Association Championship played by national team of Zambia. In 2002 Zambia participated  in the Africacup, there beating Namibia and Tanzania . Zambia Cricket Union achieved the associate membership of ICC from 2003.

In 2004 African Cricket Association championship hosted in Zambia. The tournament was the qualifying game of the ICC Trophy 2005, Zambia ended the third place of the tournaments. The ICC Trophy tournament was conducted in Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia on February 2005. Zambia was eight place of the tournament.

World Cricket league Africa region Division two Zambia secured fourth of the tournament in 2006. There defeated only Nigeria, they played much better in 2008 tournament. They secured third place. In 2010 they won the tournament.

HISTORY OF SCOTLAND CRICKET TEAM

The first record of cricket match in Scotland in the place of Alloa in 1785.  After 80 years in 1865 they played their first full match and won by 172 runs against Surrey.

In 1879 Scotland formed their cricket union. After three years their national played against Australia and won by 7wicket. The cricket union became to dead in 1883 then administration of the game taken over by Grange CC until 1909. Their first match placed in Dublin against Ireland. Before the World War they played against West Indies, New Zealand, South Africaand all Indian teams.

Scotland team visited Australia in 1948 for two game and both the games won by Australia which was the last international games of Don Bradman. After the tour they toured in England.

In 1980 Scotland first contend in English domestic cricket when they participated for their first time in the Benson & Hedges  Cup. After three years Scotland competed in Nat West Trophy. In 1986 they won the Benson  & Hedges against Lancashire.

Most probably England captain Mike Denness was the famous cricketer of Scotland . Australian vilified a infamous cricketer who was Scottish came back in national team .

In 1994 Scotland achieved the associate membership of ICC  for their own right . They participated in the ICC Trophy in 1997 for the first time,  they competed the third and they qualified for World Cup 1999. But Scotland lost all the games of World Cup. They finished the fourth of ICC Trophy 2001, lost a play off game to Canada, so they won the tournament of 2005  by beating Ireland in the final. Ryan Watson was the ODI run scorer of Scotland plays through backward point against India on 16 August 2007 at Glasgow’s Titwood ground.

Scotland took part in tri series tournament against Ireland and New Zealand in Aberdeen, Scotland defeated Ireland but lost to New Zealand. Scotland competed another five associate nation in ICC World Cup Twenty 20 2009 Qualifier in Belfast. They initially lost to Ireland  and won against Bermuda . Scotland appear in semi final slot. 

Scotland participated in the 2010 ICC World Twenty 20 in the UAE. They played with Ireland, Afghanistan, Kenya, Canada, Netherlands, the UAE and USA. They lost all the matches of the tournament.

Scotland participated in ICC Trophy in March 2009 to qualifier for the World Cup Cricket 2011. Their target was top four place. They achieve ODI status by finishing in the top six.

HISTORY OF IRELAND CRICKET TEAM

Early in the 19^th century Ireland introduced in Cricket by English in Kilkenny and Ballinasloe towns. The cricket began to extend among many club within 30 years. In the 1855 Irish national team first played in Dublin against the English Gentlemen. The English man Charles Lawrence appointed as a coach and took the responsibilities to develop their cricket. With the professional touring team Ireland first visited in 1850  and played against Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC)

The Cricket achieved popularity between 1880 in Ireland. Spreading of cricket began set back by Gaelic Athletic Association due to land war. Cricket playing was banned in Irish and began popular in Hurling and Gaelic football. l Ireland visited top play in Canada, and USA in 1879, 1888, 1892 and 1909, the best performance of Irish was defeated South Africa in 1904. On 19 May 1902 they played their first class status of first match against London. Sir Tim O’Brien was the captain and convincingly won by 238 runs.

After England tour of Irish four match yielded won, two match draw and lost one match, There was a restriction on Irish to play first class cricket for five years. They played a first class match against Scotland in 1909. Ireland began to play annual match against MCC from 1924.

The Irish continued played first class match during the world war period only break until 1999, Ireland played a three day test match against West Indies in Dublin they won by 60 runs in 1928 and that was the first match against West Indies. Another match played in 1969 against West Indiajn side at Sion Mills in Country Tyrone and the result was lost to West Indians side. And that was the last touring lost  until 2003 in the same year they beat Zimbabwe by 10 wickets. Ireland became an Associate member of ICC in 1993, one year before of Scotland.

Ireland were permitted to participated in ICC Trophy in 1994 for the first, Ireland won three among seven game and finished the seventh place of the tournament. After three years they show their best effort by appear in the same final in Malaysia  but lost to Kenya by 7 runs. They lost the first match in Canada by six wicket and to Denmark also lost by 12 runs. 

In the ICC Trophy of 2005 hosted in Ireland , the final stage lost to  England .In 2004 ICC Intercontinental Cup on a regard basis Ireland got a chance for play first class, the competition divided into four division, while Netherlands defeated by Ireland and Ireland lost to the group match in 2004 against Scotland. Ireland played the ICC Intercontinental Cup in 2007 in the final against Canada ,there won by an innings and 115 runs.

HISTORY OF BANGLADESH CRICKET

The Cricket culture is the old fashion of Bangladesh. Cricket first started from the Gangs Brahmaputr delta region by the British rulers about 2hundred years ago. For the best side of British rules cricket has took place in common people that it is the recreational game for player and also civilian people.           

Bangladesh gaining independence in 1971 from the Pakistan Government and the cricket continue to grow up slowly. At that time Dhaka stadium was in disrepair , the square having sunk several inched by flood and the Pres Club has no shelter ..

 Over 40.000 people helped to build the enthusiasm to cricketers by the attending the representative matches for the MCC tour at Dhaka in 1977.  Because an Associate member of the ICC. Two further MCC teams toured in 1978/79 and 1980/81.

Within few days the standard of Bangladesh Cricket team  arose and soon Bangladesh was the top associate country in the region, winning all ACC tournaments . For this Bangladesh could play Asia Cup against India, Pakistan and Sri Lanka

Bangladesh took place in third Asia Cup ion 1988 against India, Pakistan and Sri Lanka participating was well as a host country. Bangladesh played first Under -19 Asia Cup in 1989/90. A good result brought for the country.

Bangladesh won the ICC  trophy in Malaysia in 1997 and qualifying to World Cup appearance . After very soon Bangladesh along with Kenya permitted to play full ODI match by ICC. Bangladesh played her first ODI match and won against Kenya in India in 1998.

Bangladesh hosted the first ever Mini World Cup (although they did not attend ) in October 1998. In 1999 a  knock out system basis ODI tournament featuring all the test playing nations. In the maiden appearance at the World Cup in England Bangladesh defeated fellow ICC associate Scotland, and then pulled off the tournament against favorite Pakistan. As glorious performance in ICC and World Cup Bangladesh was given the 10^th test playing status on 26^th June 2000.

A famous Ex Cricket Mr Ali Bacher of South Africa visited to Dhaka and noted the game of cricket has great prospects in the country, where there is cricket on the street, cricket in the school, cricket in the village, a competitive league and Friday cricket  drawing crowd of spectators who love the game. Very soon Bangladesh having shed its aristocratic restriction prospers at very grass roots of the society.

HISTORY OF NEPAL CRICKET TEAM

The game cricket introduced in Nepal by ruling Rana dynasty in 1920. When they returned a match was conducted between England and India. The match  kept very much for themselves and the elite in the society. In 1946 Nepal formed the Cricket association to skilled the cricketers amongst the aristocracy.

In 1951 King Tribhuvan thrown over the Rana family, at the cricket began to spread among the population. In 1954 Nepali player team visit India. Cricket Association of Nepal promoted to one of the part of the National Sports Council for the promote of Cricket in Nepal, though it was limited within kathmadu  until 1980. The game spread outside Kathmandu in this year due to communication and  transportation much improved. In 1988 Nepal achieved the affiliate membership of the ICC. In the early 1990s a major cricket programme started to development with the regional and District level. The cricket expand to the school.

The crickets became popularity very quickly and demand to play. In the mid 1990s more facilities were built for the cricket team. In 1996 Nepal achieved associate membership of the International Cricket Council, which was the first time for the side players of national year.

Nepal finished the ACC Trophy fourth out of six team in Kuala Lampur. Nepal beat Brunei and Japan for their first time. Nepal improved enough facilities for cricket team by 1998 to allow them to host in the year ACC Trophy organized in Lalitpur, Kirtipur and Kathmandu. Nepal did not win any match in the tournamernt.

In 2000 Nepal Under-19 team of played Under-19 World Cup and they finished eight then Nepali development policy began y to pay off. Later the senior side reached in the semi final by using their best performance in ACC Trophy before defeated to Hong Kong at Sharjah. For the first time they complete the International Cricket Council Trophy in next year. In the tournament they defeated Germany and Gibralter in Ontario. But unluckily lost to Namibia to eventually runner up for the first round.

Nepal achieved the runner up in the ACC Trophy to the UAE in Singapore and they became  Emerging Nations Tournament in the ACC Trophy for winning against Bhutan and Maldives in 2003.Before 2005 they were not invited to the tournament due to their won was comprehensive. They played and qualified for ICC Intercontinental  Cup 2005 and ended 5^th in ACC Trophy. They secured third in the tournament by beating Qatar in a play off, so they are unable to qualified for ICC Trophy 2005 in Ireland.

Nepal played a match against Namibia in Windhoek in play off match and decided the final team of ICC Intercontinental Cup 2006, they need win to qualify for the tournament but the match was drawn. They toured in Pakistan and played against Pakistan in the year. 

Nepal visited to Jersey for the playing Division five of the World Cricket League, hey lost to Afghanistan in the semi final. Nepal achieve the their first major tournament by beating USA of the World Cricket League Division five in the final which was held at kathmanduin February 2010

Nepal participated in ICC  World Cricket League 2012 division four , all the match won by Nepal and qualified for ICC World Cricket League 2012 division four which was conducted later in March 2013.

HISTORY OF SPAIN CRICKET TEAM

In 1809 the game cricket first played in Spain by the soldiers of General Lord Wellesley (after rename the Duke of Wellington). During the Peninsular war the game started b y the soldier in and around Ciudad Rodrigo, Lugo and Orense. From that period many games played by visitor of British land and sea force they were recorded the game. The game may be between them or local British company. 

The cricket started to play in Spain in 1975 by founding of Madrid Cricket club. It started by the British and Indian players. After Spanish member joined they crossed their national line.

In 1982 Spain founded two cricket club. The cause behind two club, Phil smith on of the player of Madrid CC transferred from this Club to Barcelona, there he founded the second cricket club in Spain. In that years two clubs played the first match at the Polo Club. Every Year they played between the Madrid and Barcelona

There increased a number of club in 1985. They formed the National Association to co ordinate cricket In 1987.

In 2001 Spain played their first international tournament in Austria. That was the ECC Trophy 2001, which began the first tournament in their cricket history. Sweden, Portugal, Finland and Malta were in there group. the match were conducted by 35 over. Their first match was 13 August 2001 in Seebern Cricket Centre against Portugal in Lower Austria. Spain lost the first international match against Portugal by 63 runs. The next match against Finland on 14  August  2001 at the same venue. Spain won the toss and decided to bat first. They scored 222/3 by 35 over. The highest scored was 103 of Spain’s innings which was made by Batsman G Howe. Finland made 141/9  by 35 over, so Spain won the match by 81 runs. It was the first winning of international Cricket history of Spain.

HISTORY OF BELGIUM CRICKET

The game cricket was first played in Belgium by British soldier before the war of Waterloo in 1815. In the sixteenth century Cricket may be related to a game which was exported from, Flanders to England though it was the suggested by the research. The first record of cricket organization was painting and hangs in the pavilion of Lord’s Cricket Ground in Londonin 1870. 

Belgium formed their national cricket team in 1905 and they played first match against Netherlands. The match continued played until 1986 in every year. Belgium arranged a tournament as a part of the exhibition of Brussels in 1910, France , the MCC and Netherlands also involving it. Belgium lost the match by an innings against the MCC and also lost against Netherlands by 116 runs.

In 1991 Belgium achieved the affiliate member of the ICC. They started to play European tournament, ECC Trophy for the first time by 1999. The next tournament they played much better. In 2001 ECC Trophy they arrived in the semi final in Austria. 

In the ECC trophy inn m2003 they secured sixth place, after two years achieved  the associate member of the ICC In the European Affiliates Championship Belgium finished fourth in 2005, they also played reorganized European Championship Division three in August of 2007.They secured fifth place.

Belgium played in Division three in La manga in the 2009, they secured fourth captained by Richard Nash. In 2011 Belgium played the new ICC European T 20 Championship of 2011 Division two, they won the championship without defeated

Belgium promoted to division one by the finished a credible 7^thamong the 12 team. They qualified them for the WCL by their performance. 

Belgium played the World Cricket League qualifiers match in 2012. They qualified the World Cricket League by the defeated Gibraltar, Austria and France for the first time. Sheriyar Butt and Simon were the captain of the tournament.
